Positive Points:
-
Based on the film, but as the three playable fishes with their own levels
-
Swimming in a side scroller and on-rails in a third-person perspective at random in the level.
-
No lives or a game over screen when dying in a level, but there are death scenes to laugh at.
-
Collecting star through mini games and challenges such as racing, bouncing, coloured pebble matching, etc.
-
Replayable levels if the player is missing out on star collecting or competing against the time.
-
Each level has its own orchestral soundtrack that is relaxing or classical rock.
Negative Points:
-
No health gauge, as sea krills function similarly to the golden rings in every Sonic the Hedgehog game.
-
Limited quality of life mechanics such as difficulty settings, puzzle hints, etc.
-
Good luck completing the difficult orze sliding puzzles from level seven and onwards.
-
The bouncing mini-games could do with some directional controls rather than the slow and tank-like turning.
-
I would rather watch the film than watch poorly rendered scenes edited into the video game.
Piglet's Big Game
Positive Points:
-
A 3D adventure horror game for younger players
-
Help Pooh and friends solve problems in their dreams.
-
Puzzle solving, moving objects, and using key items mapped on the controller.
-
Each character has a unique dream world.
-
Battling Heffalumps and Woozles by pressing buttons to scare them into potion bottles.
-
Interact with Pooh and Tigger to advance through dream worlds.
-
Tigger sneaks from enemies, while Pooh runs away.
Negative Points:
-
Heffalumps and Woozles scare the player back to the main hub by depleting Piglet's fear health until Robin's balloon is touched.
-
Collecting hidden cookies to buy brave faces that scare off Heffalumps and Woozles.
-
Quickly pressing random buttons before the Heffalump or Woozle gets closer.
-
No difficulty modes exist; progression relies on Piglet's brave faces and the types of Heffalumps and Woozles faced.
-
The game is only available on the Nintendo GameCube, which is disappointing for Xbox users.
